There Is Room For Hope

Created during the winter 2026 ICE surge in Minnesota, this series of erasure poems rearranges and isolates text from Etty Hillesum’s WWII memoir, An Interrupted Life. Typed in exact alignment with the original book pages over ghosted text and plant images taken in my kitchen, the work explores collective fear, quiet resistance, and the moral obligation to bear witness in times of terror.
