Words and Images

I used to be someone who didn’t think that photographs needed any words, titles, or descriptions. After all, we are all familiar with the saying “a picture is worth a thousand words”. But over the last couple of years, as I increased my writing practice and began to publish my writings regularly on Substack, I realized that combining words with images can be a powerful expression. I often think of my work as visual poetry and receive a lot of inspiration from poetry and other literary art. Adding words to images is a compelling method to create an even deeper connection with your viewer (and reader). I have come to love this process , and it seems that I have only begun to scratch the surface of the endless possibilites that are provided by merging my writing with my visual art.
